Sally Bower's Passover Chocolate Nut Cake


Eight eggs, separated three / four cup sugar two spoons marg 2 spoons lemon Chocolate Recipe juice 1 small spoon grated lemon peel half cup orange juice two spoons passover cake meal one large spoon potato starch three cups sliced walnuts six spoons chocolate chips, ground* Line bottom of a 9-inch tube pan with wax paper cut to fit. In a nonreactive bowl of an electrical mixer, beat egg yolks and six big spoons sugar with marg till light. In a clean bowl with clean beaters, beat whites of the eggs till soft. Add six large spoons sugar a little at a time as you beat whites of the eggs till stiff. *The chocolate can be ground finely in a blender fitted with the metal blade. Recipe evolved from Liquefying Pot Memories ( Jan Bart Publications, 1999 ) by Judy Bart Kancigor. And smart cooks who have not already will be stocking their emergency pantries and planning ahead.
